Most people will not be disciplined with backups, like flossing, so I make the computer data backup process as automatic as I can. Most flash drives include automatic computer data backup software that is easy to use. Do not use USB flash drives as your primary computer data store, they die also. I strongly recommend one copy offsite, and offsite can be in your car, but with the cloud backup options today, it is far better to have the offsite copy in the cloud. I use SyncBack for data backups in compressed or encrypted or native file format, and GoDaddy online file folders. That is a good combination for data backups. I disagree with the taste in much of GoDaddy advertising, but their service and pricing are both very good. There are lots of other options.
